How to Use & Care

Glazed Clay Pots & Handis:

Our glazed clay cookware combines traditional craftsmanship with a durable glazed finish for convenient everyday cooking. Before First Use

1. Clean the Pot Wash with warm water and a soft sponge to remove dust. No soaking is required. Note: If there are any unglazed clay areas, soak those sections (or the entire pot) for 15–20 minutes.

2. Light Seasoning Rub a thin layer of oil (olive oil, vegetable oil, or ghee) inside the pot. Place on very low heat with a little water or grated coconut. Allow it to simmer gently for 10–15 minutes. Turn off the heat and let the pot cool slowly on the stove for 15–20 minutes. Afterward: Move the pot onto a wooden board, trivet, or thick cloth. Avoid placing hot cookware directly onto cold marble or metal surfaces.

Clay Cookware Care Guide

Before first use, wash your clay cookware thoroughly. Non-glazed pots should be soaked overnight, while glazed cookware only needs a quick wash. Cook on low heat first, then gradually increase to medium heat. Avoid sudden temperature changes and use wooden or silicone utensils. After cooking, let the cookware cool completely before washing with warm water and a soft sponge. Dry thoroughly before storing. For clay drinkware, rinse before use, clean gently, air dry completely, and soak bottles or coolers every two weeks to maintain their natural cooling properties.
